What does Blinq do well?
A generous free plan. Two cards, unlimited sharing and unlimited contacts for $0. People you share with don't need the Blinq app.
Many ways to share. QR code, NFC card, Apple or Google Wallet, smart watch, lock-screen widgets, email signatures and virtual backgrounds. Its help center also covers NameDrop and an iPhone App Clip.
Getting details back. When someone shares their details back, they show up in your Blinq contacts. Blinq says no paid plan is needed on either side.
Context on Premium. Blinq's pricing page lists a scanner for badges, paper cards, QR codes and LinkedIn profiles on Premium, plus AI contact enrichment and an AI notetaker. The notetaker records in-person conversations and phone calls, then writes a summary with key points and next steps.
NFC cards. Blinq sells NFC business cards, and you can also write your Blinq link onto an NFC card made by another company.
Teams. Business adds CRM sync with HubSpot, Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics, card provisioning through Microsoft Entra, and email signatures managed through Google Workspace.
Where does Blinq stop for a solo user?
Blinq's home page puts it plainly: "The contact and the context land wherever you follow up: CRM, phonebook, email or your AI tools via our MCP." Blinq gets you the person and the notes. Writing and sending the follow-up happens somewhere else.
- Blinq's pricing page doesn't list drafting or sending follow-up emails on Free or Premium.
- Its January 2026 post introducing the AI Notetaker says "automatic follow-ups, action item extraction are all on the roadmap."
- Ask Blinq, its MCP connection for AI tools, is listed under Business, the team plan with a five-card minimum.
- Not listed for individuals: follow-ups when someone doesn't reply, stopping them when they do, keep-in-touch reminders, and text or WhatsApp follow-ups. You can share your card by SMS, but that's the card, not a follow-up.
If you meet a lot of people, the follow-up is where things fall through. That's the gap Capstone Outreach was built for.
What happens after the tap in Capstone Outreach?
Capture. Scan a paper card with your phone camera, or the QR code on someone's digital card. Capstone reads QR codes that hold a vCard or a card link, and you check the fields before saving. On supported phones it also reads NFC cards with a tap. If the person is already in your contacts (same email or phone), it recognizes the duplicate.
Draft. Add a line about what you talked about. Capstone drafts the follow-up from your notes and your recent conversation, in your voice, with your signature. It drafts texts and WhatsApp messages the same way.
Approve and send. Emails go out from your own Gmail or Outlook. Texts and WhatsApp messages open on your phone with the message typed, and you press send. Nothing goes out until you approve it.
Keep going when they don't reply. Build a sequence of email, text or WhatsApp steps for one person or everyone from the same event, with the next step already written. An email reply stops it, an out-of-office reply pauses it, and the "They replied" button covers replies by text, call or in person. Keep-in-touch reminders run from weekly to every three months.
Your own card. My Card gives you a QR code, a share link and a booking link. The routine is in how to follow up after collecting a business card and how to follow up after a networking event.

Checked October 2026 from each company's own site.
Is there a Blinq alternative for solo users?
Yes, and which one fits depends on what you actually need.
If all you need is a card, use the free one. Our digital business card maker turns your details into a QR code that holds a vCard, so any phone camera can save you to its contacts without an app. You can download the .vcf file too. There's no sign-up and no watermark, and it doesn't store what you type. It has no hosted profile page, analytics or NFC, and if your details change, you make a new code.
Blinq's own free plan is also a good choice here, and it gives you a hosted card page and two cards.
If you need the follow-up, use Capstone Outreach. One plan: $25 a month on the web after a 14-day free trial, or $24.99 a month ($250 a year) in the iPhone app. A payment method is required to start the trial, and you can cancel anytime. See pricing. That's more than these card apps charge one person. You're paying for the follow-up, not the card.
Or keep Blinq and add the follow-up. You can keep sharing your Blinq card and use Capstone Outreach for what comes after. Capstone reads QR codes that hold a vCard or a card link, the kind digital card apps use. Check the fields it fills in before saving, and add anything it missed.
How does Blinq compare with Popl and HiHello on price?
All three have a free plan and a paid plan for one person, at similar prices.
| One person, paid plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Free plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Popl Pro | $7.99 (App Store; the listing doesn't name the period) | $76.99 a year (App Store) | Yes |
| Blinq Premium | $9.99 a month | $7.33 a month | Yes, two cards |
| HiHello Professional | $8 a month | $6 a month ($72 a year) | Yes, four cards |
| Capstone Outreach | $25 on the web after a 14-day free trial | $250 a year in the iPhone app | No. The QR card maker is free. |
Checked October 2026. Popl from its US App Store listing (its website lists no prices). Blinq from blinq.me/pricing. HiHello from hihello.com/pricing.
When should you choose Blinq instead?
- The free plan covers you. Two cards, unlimited sharing and unlimited contacts for $0.
- You want a physical NFC card. Blinq sells them. Capstone doesn't.
- You want to record in-person conversations on your phone. Capstone's notetaker joins video calls instead.
- You're rolling out cards to a team, with templates, provisioning and CRM sync, or want pay-as-you-go lead capture at a few events a year.
Choose Capstone Outreach if the follow-up is where things fall through: the email after the event, the text a week later, the check-in three months on. That's the part Capstone writes for you.
Follow up with everyone you meet. Capstone Outreach drafts the follow-up from your notes and conversation. You approve it, and it sends from your own Gmail, Outlook, phone or WhatsApp. When they don't reply, the next one is already written.
