What does HiHello do well?

A free plan with four cards. Share by QR code, link, NFC tag, email, text, WhatsApp, AirDrop, wallet pass, Apple Watch or iPhone widget. People you share with don't need an app, and an offline QR code works without a signal.

NFC without buying plastic. HiHello doesn't sell NFC cards. Instead, it lets you write your card to any NFC tag you already own, at no extra cost. Because the card is a live link, edits show up right away for anyone who has it.

A scanner that reads almost anything. HiHello scans paper cards, event badges, QR codes and other business card apps, plus contact details on screens and signage. You can add notes and tags, and on paid plans enrich contacts with title, company and LinkedIn.

A follow-up email with your card. When you exchange details with someone through HiHello, it sends them a follow-up email with your card, so you both have each other's information.

Brand tools. Email signatures and virtual backgrounds for Zoom, Teams and Meet come with every plan. Business adds team versions, CRM sync, SSO and directory sync.

Where does HiHello stop for a solo user?

HiHello is built around the card, the signature and the contact record. For one person who meets a lot of people, a few things are missing:

Most introductions turn into something on the second or third message, not the first. That's the gap Capstone Outreach was built for.

What happens after the tap in Capstone Outreach?

Capture. Scan a paper card with your phone camera, or the QR code on someone's digital card. Capstone reads QR codes that hold a vCard or a card link, and you check the fields before saving. On supported phones it also reads NFC cards with a tap. If the person is already in your contacts (same email or phone), it recognizes the duplicate.

Draft. Add a line about what you talked about. Capstone drafts the follow-up from your notes and your recent conversation, in your voice, with your signature. It drafts texts and WhatsApp messages the same way.

Approve and send. Emails go out from your own Gmail or Outlook. Texts and WhatsApp messages open on your phone with the message typed, and you press send. Nothing goes out until you approve it.

Keep going when they don't reply. Build a sequence of email, text or WhatsApp steps for one person or everyone from the same event, with the next step already written. An email reply stops it, an out-of-office reply pauses it, and the "They replied" button covers replies by text, call or in person. Keep-in-touch reminders run from weekly to every three months.

Your own card. My Card gives you a QR code, a share link and a booking link. The routine is in how to follow up after collecting a business card and how to follow up after a networking event.

Is there a HiHello alternative for solo users?

Yes, and which one fits depends on what you actually need.

If all you need is a card, use the free one. Our digital business card maker turns your details into a QR code that holds a vCard, so any phone camera can save you to its contacts without an app. You can download the .vcf file too. There's no sign-up and no watermark, and it doesn't store what you type. It has no hosted profile page, analytics or NFC, and if your details change, you make a new code.

HiHello's own Personal plan is also a good choice here, and it gives you a live card page and four cards.

If you need the follow-up, use Capstone Outreach. One plan: $25 a month on the web after a 14-day free trial, or $24.99 a month ($250 a year) in the iPhone app. A payment method is required to start the trial, and you can cancel anytime. See pricing. That's more than these card apps charge one person. You're paying for the follow-up, not the card.

Or keep HiHello and add the follow-up. You can keep sharing your HiHello card and use Capstone Outreach for what comes after. Capstone reads QR codes that hold a vCard or a card link, including HiHello card links. You check the fields before saving, and the follow-up is drafted from there.

HiHello vs Blinq and Popl: how do they compare on price?

When should you choose HiHello instead?

Choose Capstone Outreach if the follow-up is where things fall through: the email after the event, the text a week later, the check-in three months on. That's the part Capstone writes for you.

Follow up with everyone you meet. Capstone Outreach drafts the follow-up from your notes and conversation. You approve it, and it sends from your own Gmail, Outlook, phone or WhatsApp. When they don't reply, the next one is already written.
