Popl pricing (2026) and a Popl alternative for solo users
Popl facts checked October 2026 against Popl's pricing page, its help center and its App Store listing
Popl doesn't publish prices on its website. Team plans are quoted on a sales call. The individual Pro and Pro+ plans are bought inside the Popl app.
Popl pricing, checked October 2026.
Teams: quote only. Popl's pricing page says "we quote pricing over a meeting instead of publishing it on our website." There are two team plans, Event Lead Capture and Digital Business Card, with no per-seat or per-scan fees.
Individuals: a free plan, plus Pro and Pro+. Popl's US App Store listing shows Popl Pro at $7.99, Popl Pro Yearly at $76.99, Popl Pro Plus at $14.99 and Popl Pro Plus Yearly at $144.99.
Trial: Popl's help center mentions free Pro and Pro+ trials but doesn't say how long they last.

How much does Popl cost?
Popl's pricing page is built for teams: "Simple pricing for teams of all sizes," with a Request Pricing button. People who only need Popl for themselves are sent to download the app, where the individual plans are sold.
| Plan | For | Price | What Popl lists |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Individuals | $0 | A digital business card to share. The lead capture form and the automatic intro email after you connect both work on the free plan. |
| Pro | Individuals | $7.99, or $76.99 a year (App Store) | Export the leads you capture, customize the automatic follow-up email, and draft follow-up emails with Popl AI. |
| Pro+ | Individuals | $14.99, or $144.99 a year (App Store) | The Pro features above, plus a custom lead capture form. |
| Event Lead Capture or Digital Business Card plan | Teams | Custom quote | Unlimited users, events and leads. AI badge scanner, contact and company enrichment, event campaigns and qualifying questions, CRM and calendar integrations, SOC 2 Type 2 security, a dedicated success manager, and digital business cards for your team. |
Checked October 2026. Team details from popl.co/pages/pricing. Individual prices from Popl's US App Store listing, because popl.co doesn't list them. Plan features from Popl's help center.
The App Store listing doesn't say whether the $7.99 and $14.99 items renew monthly; the yearly items are labeled "Yearly." Prices can differ by country and on Android. Popl's help center also describes NFC accessories (cards, badges, keychains). We didn't find prices for them on popl.co.
What does Popl do well?
Sharing. Popl's help center lists ten ways to share a card: NameDrop, a QR code, an NFC accessory, a card link, text, email, social apps, Apple or Google Wallet, and home-screen and lock-screen widgets.
Lead capture at events. This is where Popl puts most of its effort. Its scanner reads event badges, paper cards and QR codes, including LinkedIn codes and other digital cards. It works offline, fills in missing details from 20+ data partners, and syncs leads to Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo and more.
Team control. Card templates, subteams, locked fields, HR directory sync and SOC 2 Type 2 security. Event Lead Capture teams can send multi-email drip campaigns.
A first follow-up. When you connect, Popl can email an intro to them and to you right away. On Pro and Pro+, Popl AI drafts a follow-up in the app; you set the tone, length and goal, then send it by email or text.
Where does a solo user pay for things they don't use?
Most of Popl's new features are built for event teams: badge scanning, event flows, ROI reporting. If you're a consultant, founder or agent at a few events a month, most of that isn't for you. And the card itself is the easy part; a QR code that saves your details costs nothing to make.
The hard part is what happens after the tap, and that's where Popl's individual plans stop short:
- The automatic intro email goes out from a Popl address by default. Sending from your own Gmail or Outlook is listed under the Event Lead Capture team plan.
- The AI follow-up is one message, drafted and sent one lead at a time.
- For individual plans, Popl doesn't list a second or third follow-up when someone doesn't reply. It also doesn't list stopping follow-ups when they do reply, or keep-in-touch reminders.
- WhatsApp follow-ups aren't listed.
That's the gap Capstone Outreach was built for.
What happens after the tap in Capstone Outreach?
Capture. Scan a paper card with your phone camera, or the QR code on someone's digital card. Capstone reads QR codes that hold a vCard or a card link, and you check the fields before saving. On supported phones it also reads NFC cards with a tap. If the person is already in your contacts (same email or phone), it recognizes the duplicate.
Draft. Add a line about what you talked about. Capstone drafts the follow-up from your notes and your recent conversation, in your voice, with your signature. It drafts texts and WhatsApp messages the same way.
Approve and send. Emails go out from your own Gmail or Outlook. Texts and WhatsApp messages open on your phone with the message typed, and you press send. Nothing goes out until you approve it.
Keep going when they don't reply. Build a sequence of email, text or WhatsApp steps for one person or everyone from the same event, with the next step already written. An email reply stops it, an out-of-office reply pauses it, and the "They replied" button covers replies by text, call or in person. Keep-in-touch reminders run from weekly to every three months.
Your own card. My Card gives you a QR code, a share link and a booking link. The routine is in how to follow up after collecting a business card and how to follow up after a networking event.

Is there a Popl alternative for solo users?
Yes, and which one fits depends on what you actually need.
If all you need is a card, use the free one. Our digital business card maker turns your details into a QR code that holds a vCard, so any phone camera can save you to its contacts without an app. You can download the .vcf file too. There's no sign-up and no watermark, and it doesn't store what you type. It has no hosted profile page, analytics or NFC, and if your details change, you make a new code.
If you need the follow-up, use Capstone Outreach. One plan: $25 a month on the web after a 14-day free trial, or $24.99 a month ($250 a year) in the iPhone app. A payment method is required to start the trial, and you can cancel anytime. See pricing. That's more than these card apps charge one person. You're paying for the follow-up, not the card.
Or keep Popl and add the follow-up. Keep sharing your Popl card. When someone shows you theirs, scan its QR code into Capstone Outreach, check the fields, and the follow-up is drafted from there.
How does Popl compare with Blinq and HiHello on price?
All three have a free plan and a paid plan for one person, at similar prices.
| One person, paid plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Free plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Popl Pro | $7.99 (App Store; the listing doesn't name the period) | $76.99 a year (App Store) | Yes |
| Blinq Premium | $9.99 a month | $7.33 a month | Yes, two cards |
| HiHello Professional | $8 a month | $6 a month ($72 a year) | Yes, four cards |
| Capstone Outreach | $25 on the web after a 14-day free trial | $250 a year in the iPhone app | No. The QR card maker is free. |
Checked October 2026. Popl from its US App Store listing (its website lists no prices). Blinq from blinq.me/pricing. HiHello from hihello.com/pricing.
When should you choose Popl instead?
- You run a trade show team. Popl's badge scanner, qualifying questions, enrichment, CRM sync and ROI reporting are built for that. Capstone doesn't do booth lead retrieval.
- You want a physical NFC card or keychain tied to your card. Popl has them. Capstone doesn't sell any.
- You're rolling out cards across a company, with templates, locked fields, HR directory sync and SOC 2 Type 2 security.
- You mostly share your card and only follow up now and then. The free plan or Pro costs less than Capstone.
Choose Capstone Outreach if the follow-up is where things fall through: the second email, the text a week later, the check-in three months on.
Follow up with everyone you meet. Capstone Outreach drafts the follow-up from your notes and conversation. You approve it, and it sends from your own Gmail, Outlook, phone or WhatsApp. When they don't reply, the next one is already written.

$25 a month after the trial. Cancel anytime. You approve every message.
